Merry Christmas, gentle readers.

No happy holidays, seasons greetings, or any other mild-mannered PC version of the salutation. I celebrate Christmas, and if you do, too, I hope it's merry. If you celebrate something else, well, I hope that is or was merry, too. Just don't ask me to spell it all out, and please accept the greeting and well-wishing in the spirit in which it is meant, without any excess baggage or steamer trunks attached to it, and no matter what you celebrate, have a nice day on December 25. The 24th, too. Because no matter what you celebrate, I'm sure God, slash Allah, slash the Force, would be thrilled if you found peace, love, and joy to share with others, regardless of your age, sex, race, gender, religion or nationality.

And me? I wish it for you, too. Let's just let it go with that, shall we?
