Please read my earlier entry first. As in, before this one.
far from home...
september 11 is a memory
far from home...
it hasn't been shanghai'd for political gain
far from home...
there are no speeches
no fancy wreaths
no reading of names
no tolling bells or silence observed.
far from home...
i am alone with my thoughts
and a single fall day
when everything changed
and a nation surrendered freedom for fear.
far from home...
today is just a day in september
a historical note for pragmatic press
far from home...
this day i avoid is who i am
it marks me with sorrow
and calls me out.
far from home.
