Elmer Bernstein does NOT write jingles. Elmer Bernstein is an accomplished composer. He writes - or wrote, since he died last year - MUSIC. Scores. Anthems. Themes. The man is an Academy Award-winning composer. He wrote the score to The Magnificent Seven, which includes one of the best movie themes EVER, and was nominated for an Oscar fourteen times. And that's just the Oscars he was nominated for. He has written the music to literally hundreds of films and other projects, and if you have ever seen a movie in your life, you've heard something he wrote.

He does not write jingles for fucking Nissan commercials, and whatever soul-sucking bastard made THAT decision should be slapped.

Hard.
