Katie Doyle, Girl About Town

Why am I so exhausted all the time? All I could think about all day today was how much I wanted to be sleeping. I still am. Good thing bed's in there waitin'. Good ol' bed. I do love it so.

Today was my first day with no gainful employment. Aside from the fact I have absolutely no idea how I'm gonna pay bills the next 6-7 weeks, I can't say I mind all that much. And frankly, if I knew for sure that one job for MTV was gonna come thru, I wouldn't mind at all. I could use the vacation. Logging burns a person out, yo. Especially logging The Prisser. That job sucked my soul right out my eyeballs and stuffed it down, deep, deep down, way down, into a dimension of hell heretofore unexperienced by yours truly. I am way glad it's over. I did think God hates me, but then I read that God gives us evils like The Prisser to deal with so that we can get all that stuff over with before we die and be better people. Or something like that; frankly, I'm falling asleep in my chair right now, so I can not be expected to accurately quote anything, least of all the Bible.

Bygones.

At any rate, I think I have way paid the price on that show, and many a fatted calf will fall when I get up to The Big Guy, because DUDE. That stuff was harsh, yo, and I worked off enough karma for this *and* the next 3 lives.

Did I mention it was hot as friggin' hell in the valley today, and it's not even May yet? The house feels like the heater's on in here; there's absolutely no passage of air to speak of, and it will pretty much stay that way the rest of the night. Tomorrow, however, when the hot blast of moisture-thieving, allergen-bearing, blow-torched wind is ripping thru the Valley, tomorrow, there will be air. In Vulcanized spades. Yep, I'm lookin' forward to summer. Me and the oven I like to call my car, with its complete and utter lack of air conditioning and heat-building sitting in the sun all day windows. My parking card for work has already been completely melted once already, 2 weeks ago, when I forgot to take it in with me and left it in the car. Yeah, buddy, I am lookin' forward. Woooo-hoo.

Also have I mentioned I am pms'g and have raging hormones right now? Oh yeah. I just threatened TB with death and the fact that I know where a good place is to dump his body. Do NOT get near me.

And with that, you know, I'm really just too tired to remain upright. I really am. So I'm heeding bed's call. Bed loves me. It wants me. It thinks I'm sexy and beautiful and that my ass is just the right size, and it wants right now to wrap its coverings over and around me and caress my ever so slightly Rubenesque butt and thighs with its loving springs.

Wow. That mental image was a bit much, ay?
