What up, G? I know you miss it when I'm all political and stuff, so here are a few numbers which I actually think will offend almost no one. (well, except for that first one, but don't blame me, I just report this stuff)
Portion of Americans who think the continued invasion and occupation of Iraq is a mistake: 55%
Portion of Americans in favor of repealing the Bush tax cuts for the rich: 60%
Portion of Americans who feel reducing the deficit should be done by reducing Pentagon spending and actually raising taxes: 66%
Portion of Americans who feel the minimum wage should be raised: 86%
(which begs the question, what percentage of Americans work for minimum wage?)
Portion of Americans who want single-payer health care and are willing to pay higher taxes in order to get it: 65%
Portion of Americans who feel the environment is of such priority we should do "whatever it takes" to protect it: 77%
and last,
Portion of Americans who believe the big oil comppanies are gouging the public and who would support a windfall profits tax: 77%
Hm. Kinda makes you wonder whose vote actually counts, huh?
Peace out,
Katie
