I am becoming totally addicted to Bob the Builder...or Le Bricoleur, as it's called here. Damn that catchy jingle! I do not like L'ours Benjamin, however, which really seems a blatant Winnie the Pooh ripoff. And we all know how I feel about Pooh. The difference here, though, is that Benjamin actually helps his little boy and girl. Like, when Harry the Hamster got loose? Benjamin and his little sidekick were all over that. It does seem the sidekick does all the work, though. Benjamin is more the idea man. And I can't believe I just typed that sentence. Also, I have never hated hiphop more in my entire life than I do now. Why? Because it's frigging everywhere right now. In fact, the one MTV channel publically available (ie. not a cable channel) plays nothing BUT hiphop. I hate it so badly at this point that I can't even stand to flip past the channel. I can't tell you the complete and utter lack of talent I think goes into that mass-produced tripe. And the Pussycat Dolls need to die. They really do. Why can't they get on a plane with mechanical malfunction? What, the PTB take Buddy Holly that way, but they let the travesty that is the Pussycat Dolls roam around scotfree, to foist their vile "musical" sensibilities on all of us? I will go on record right now as saying I secretly kinda liked the Spice Girls. I did. I loved "Wannabe". I can admit it now, years after the fact. I loved "Wannabe" to the point of ridiculousness, in the same way - and I really can't believe I'm going to admit this - that I dug the BSB "As Long As You Love Me". But the Pussycat Dolls are NO Spice Girls. They're not even the Backstreet Boys, and that is really saying something. They are clearly Spice Girls wannabes (no pun intended of any kind), but they fail completely, utterly, and miserably. ::sigh:: There is no justice in the randomness of planes. I want to stay inside today so badly I can't say. In fact, I think I will, at least until it "cools down" around 7, at which point I will go do laundry. I really need to go to Carrefour first, to get some kind of hamper and return something I bought that doesn't work. But um...no. I wish, however, that I did not have to carry my laundry in a plastic bag thru the streets. That's just so trashy. :( Lunch calls. Peace out, copyright 2002
